[name]: Megan <3

[gender]: female

[age]: 28

[hometown]: Morgantown, West Virginia

[current location]: Monterey, California

[past education]: Morgantown High School in Morgantown, WV, Class of 2003; Bachelor of Science in Atmospheric Sciences (Climatology) and Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from from the University of North Carolina at Asheville in Asheville, NC, both May 2008; Masters of Science in Meteorology from the Naval Postgraduate School in June 2010

[occupation]: TCBY Shift Manager from May 2001-June 2005 in Morgantown, WV. Student Intern at NOAA's National Climatic Data Center from May 2007-August 2007 in Asheville, NC. Student Intern for the U.S. Navy Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Detachment Asheville (FNMOD Asheville) from September 2007 to May 2008 and was promoted to Meteorologist in May 2008 to January 2009; transferred to the U.S. Navy Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Command (FNMOC) in Monterey, CA January 2009 to the present.

[love]: Very much with my better half, Chad who worked as a Physical Scientist Student Trainee at NOAA's National Climatic Data Center for a really long time, but now works as a Meteorologist at the Naval Research Laboratory in Monterey, CA. Yeah, we're huge weather nerds... but that's why we are freaking perfect.

[future]: I never thought I would love California this much... who knows if/when I'll ever leave?

[religion]: I grew up Mormon, but was slowly educated on the truth and reality. I am an athiest. And it feels SO good to admit that... :)

[books]: Besides the load of crap I have to read for school, I am currently reading Mormon Murders (detailed recap of the events of Mark Hoffman and the Mormon church), and Standing For Something - The Excommunication of Lyndon Lamborn, a man who definitely deserves to be recognized for his courage and sincerity to the scholarly research of Mormon history and what happened to him as a result.

[advice]: Two wrongs will never equal a right.

[anything else?]: I am living proof that you can get over anything. Life takes patience, time, and the ability to laugh at yourself.
